It was jubilation last week for Chasing Pars Pod as we got our 7th winner of 2021 in the form of 50/1 Joachim B Hansen (Craig) who was sensational in winning Aviv Dubai Championships defeating Francesco Laporta to win a 2nd European Tour title. On PGA Tour the newly found winning machine now that is Jason Kokrak was victorious at Houston Open at -10 at a brilliant Memorial Park GC to win his 3rd PGA Tour title in last 27 starts. This week our sole focus is the always epic season ending DP World Tour finals where the top 50 players in season long Race to Dubai standing will tee it off at the 7,600+ yard Greg Norman designed monster of Earth Course at Jumeirah Estates. Last year Matt Fitzpatrick was the victor in this event beating Lee Westwood although Westy would win the overall Race to Dubai rankings for yet another time in his wonderful Golf career. The best 50 playing to end a wonderful campaign on European Tour schedule. Craig & Jamie are joined by a friend of the podcast in Bradley Todd aka King of the Mini Tours to round out season 2020-2021 in style. The week I have been finally waiting weeks for has arrived! The unbelievably tough test of golf that is Real Club Valderrama is back this week to bring more pain and misery to some players while bringing joy to others. Can John Catlin defend his 2020 Andalucia Masters crown? Can the world number 1 light up the Valderrama course? Are we going to have +2 win the golf tournament again? All of the above remains to be seen but Ryan Hamilton joins Craig to discuss the best plays of the week for this fantastic event where we both have a squad of 5 players we think are capable of challenging. Really appreciate the listens etc this week for my favourite event in the calendar!
