With Jamie having a week off to try to fully recover after being floored by Covid recently Craig & Ryan are joined by host of Right Click Print Money podcast and former multiple guest on the show Ty Allushuski @SportsGuyTy on Twitter as we discuss Kapalua Plantation Course with various talking points from Course setup to Cam Smith record breaking tournament score win of -34 beating World Number 1 Jon Rahm over 2 days and a remarkable record breaking weekend performance from experienced Australian Matt Jones who shot -23 62 & 61 over the weekend for his last 36 holes to make history on PGA Tour. This week we go to Honolulu for a different type of track at the 7,044 yard Seth Raynor designed Waialae Country Club where Kevin Na was victorious last year defeating Chris Kirk & Joaquin Niemann by a stroke to win at -21. Bryson DeChambeau is a late withdrawal so some odds may be affected but last week's winner Cam Smith is deserved 11/1 favourite ahead of Webb Simpson, Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im and the in form Marc Leishman this week. Ryan is back to give you the best of the rest picks from the Australian & Asian Tours this week where we are nearly back to a full schedule so be sure to listen out for that. As always follow us @ChasingPars_Pod, @ThomsonGolf94, @Js_GolfingTips @GolfTipster5 and give a follow to Ty @SportsGuyTy and his podcast which is @RightClickPrints. Enjoy!

Welcome back to Chasing Pars Golf Podcast as we return for the first time in 2022 to preview this week's opening event of the year at Tournament of Champions at Kapalua in Maui, Hawaii. Usually a low scoring birdie event it can on occasion be a slight challenge with the wind coming off the coast. Nonetheless it's nice to have the Golf back on our screens as we aim to replicate and better a successful start up year last year! With more incentive to go better, less faffing about and a new addition to the team in Ryan Hamilton @GolfTipster5 who joins us as 3rd member of the podcast after an unbelievable 2021 season resulting in 30 outright wins for the year on all Tours. In this episode Craig, Jamie & Ryan go into tournament history and dive head first into the year opener where it has mostly been dominated by top players of recent years. Jon Rahm & 2 time ToC Champ Justin Thomas start off as 8/1 joint favourites. Also we have decided to test out a new segment of the show with Ryan's expertise of All Tours. We would like to introduce you to the segment 'Picks From the Other Tours' where Ryan each week will give us his thoughts on who he fancies as main players to back each week on the Other World Tours. Let us know what you think of the show as we look to make the show better than ever this year! Thanks for your support let's start this season off with a winner! Enjoy !

In this special episode we had the honour of being joined by the 'Fairytale story' of 2021 Richard Bland. In the episode Blandy gives us all an update on his current situation regarding knee injury after having knee surgery at the end of the season, we talk about DP World Tour taking over from European Tour and what that means from a Tour players point of view. Blandy assesses his early years on tour between 1996-2000 after turning pro in 96 which would be catalyst for a very successful year in 2001 where would have 4 top 10 finishes on Challenge Tour including a 5 shot victory at 2001 Challenge Tour Grand Final in Bordeaux which would secure full playing rights on European Tour in 2002. In 2002 Richard would finish T2nd and miss out in a playoff Vs Soren Hansen & Darren Fichardt at Irish Open at Fota Island. At this time Tim Barter would come in as coach and work on a few things with inevitable success to come. After losing European Tour card in 2018 Bland at the age of 46 would go back to 2019 Challenge Tour Q School win his playing rights and finish the season with a resurgence in form with 4 2nd placed finishes, a 3rd and a 4th in that season. Just before the strange year which was 2020 at the end of the year he would finish T2nd in South Africa behind Bezuidenhout at Leopard Creek which would be the start of the best season of his career to come which would include the dramatic & emotional victory at the Betfred British Masters at The Belfry where Richard beat Guido Migliozzi in a playoff to win at the 478th time of asking on European Tour in so becoming the oldest first time Euro Tour winner at aged 48. We very much enjoyed speaking with Richard and was a privilege to have him on to discuss the emotional victory at The Belfry. Enjoy everyone!

In this special episode of Chasing Pars Podcast Craig & Jamie are joined by current European Tour (now DP World Tour) Professional player Wil Besseling. We firstly like to thank Wil for coming on the podcast after his 2 weeks trip to South Africa got cancelled due to the newly Red Zoned South African travel restrictions we are extremely grateful. In probably one of the most open & honest player interviews we have done so far Wil describes his career in the game in his own words from winning Dutch Amateur Match Play Championship as a 15 year old in 2001 to competing in European Amateur Team Championship in 2003 & 2005 as well as being a part of the 2004 & 2006 Eisenhower Trophy sides representing The Netherlands along with Joost Luiten & Tim Sluiter where Wil would go on to finish 3rd in the Individual element in 2004 & help The Netherlands win the 2006 Eisenhower Trophy one of the most prestigious trophies in Amateur Golf. In 2007 in only his 2nd event as as a Professional Golfer Wil would go on to win on EDP Tour (Developmental) in Spain. Wil gives his assessment to his great breakout year on Challenge Tour in 2008 qualifying late for Colombia Masters to eventually winning the tournament by 7 shots, which to this date remains his biggest win of his career so far. We also get a mightily honest take from Wil about losing his early Coach/Mentor who for many years he struggled to replace and struggled for a few years as a result. In 2012 we get a mini resurgence with better form picking up and we get a heart warming story into the rise and at times hard to listen to injury decline of close friend Kristoffer Broberg. Fast forward to 2020 in the new strange world brought on by COVID-19 this now sees Besseling get more starts on the European Tour and as a result has a really good campaign which gave him full playing rights into season 2021 and beyond. This is one of an insight into the extreme highs & the extreme lows into the life of Professional Golfer. Wil that was a pleasure to interview you! Myself & Jamie wish you all the best luck in the world with Season 2021-22 and beyond! Please give us a listen and a follow @ChasingPars_Pod on Twitter & @chasingparspodcast on Instagram. Thank you & enjoy everyone!

It was jubilation last week for Chasing Pars Pod as we got our 7th winner of 2021 in the form of 50/1 Joachim B Hansen (Craig) who was sensational in winning Aviv Dubai Championships defeating Francesco Laporta to win a 2nd European Tour title. On PGA Tour the newly found winning machine now that is Jason Kokrak was victorious at Houston Open at -10 at a brilliant Memorial Park GC to win his 3rd PGA Tour title in last 27 starts. This week our sole focus is the always epic season ending DP World Tour finals where the top 50 players in season long Race to Dubai standing will tee it off at the 7,600+ yard Greg Norman designed monster of Earth Course at Jumeirah Estates. Last year Matt Fitzpatrick was the victor in this event beating Lee Westwood although Westy would win the overall Race to Dubai rankings for yet another time in his wonderful Golf career. Tom and I talk Hideki's win at Zozo in Japan, Jeff Winther's win in Mallorca, Jin Young Ko's 4th LPGA win in last 7 starts moving to World Number 1 in the process overtaking Nelly Korda. We also try to talk through the now farcical Tournament this week on the island of Bermuda for the Bermuda Championship where Brian shocked the world and won at 48 years young last year. After 15 lots of player withdrawals and Alternate pullouts and withdrawals it's fair to say the field is very weak to say the least but we try out best to pick out some value in Bermuda. The Ladies European Tour returns to Dubai this week for the annual and very unique Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic tournament under the lights on the Arabian Gulf. Spectacular spectacle it usually is and Craig is high on 2 talented female players at 33/1 and 50/1 this week.
